Jonathan Gill - Managing Director

Jonathan has over 20 years experience in the search industry, both in Australia and the UK. He graduated from the University of Durham, with an Honours degree in Theology, before joining a top 6 international Accountancy firm.

Jonathan began his recruitment career in 1987 and has spent time as a researcher at a top UK search firm where he learnt the rigors of search methodology. He successfully built his own search firm in London, which was acquired by a major international listed services company prior to Jonathan relocating to Sydney in 1998.

There Jonathan became Regional General Manager for an international search firm, which specialised in recruiting partners, teams, and facilitating mergers in the legal industry. He has personally completed many search assignments at partner level in Sydney.

Laura Talintyre - Director

Laura is a UK qualified barrister with an international law firm background in defendant insurance litigation who now recruits lawyers of all levels including: newly qualified solicitors, associates, senior associates, special counsel and partners in Australia, Asia and the UK.

Laura covers all legal disciplines in private practice as well as in-house, and has excellent client relationship skills coupled with the ability to build strong and long lasting networks within the legal industry.

She has a particular talent and unique approach in searching and finding those exceptional but often hard to reach candidates. Given Laura’s legal background and training, she understands how lawyers think and what they are ideally looking for in their next role.

Laura also regularly contributes legal recruitment industry commentary to the Law Society of New South Wales in collaboration with their in-house journalist which is published online.

Katherine Rignall - Director

Katherine started working for Cicero in 2010 as the head of our Research team, before moving back to the UK to work for our sister company, a leading legal consultancy covering the London and international markets. Katherine moved back to Australia in 2015. In total, she has accrued an impressive 13 years in legal recruitment.

Since moving to Australia, Katherine has built an impressive career and is seen as a ‘go to’ contact within the industry for both clients and candidates alike.

Given her background, Katherine is well equipped to advise candidates on opportunities and career planning in the local Sydney, Asia and UK markets.

Having experience in both contingent and executive search recruitment, Katherine can assist clients with all professional recruitment needs and strategic appointments from junior lawyers right through to partner level.
